Research and Tree building

Research:

Genealogy:

Professional:

The systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions.

Also known as family history, genealogy is the study of families and their descendants traced directly through their ancestors.

Someone engaged in a specified activity as one’s main paid occupation rather than working on it as a pastime or hobby, usually educated in their field and knowing more than the average person.

Why hire a professional?

"Why hire a professional when this is my hobby and what I love to do?" you may ask.

Years can be spent searching for the one piece of evidence you need to break through a brick wall enountered in your own research. At DNA Huntress, we are masters at knowing where the information may be and in using the Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS) to ensure what is found is accurate and valid.

Many records are available online, and while you may know several good sites for research online, a genealogist probably knows hundreds of possible sites that may contain useful records. Many sites require payment in order to use their resources and we have access to many of those sites, too. In addition, obscure records might only be found in manuscripts in repositories and have not been digitized for online viewing. We may be able to go where the records are for you to provide that information.

Through the team at DNA Huntress, along with our professional connections throughout the world, we will narrow down the search and locate your records. When that wall comes down,  you can continue to build your tree and continue on your own, if you desire.

That family book you want to publish can become a reality and not just a bucket list dream!
